Canalside Quarter
Because this is a new place where you can live, work, learn and relax, the first 317 homes in our Canalside Quarter will have easy access to amenities, community facilities, open spaces, and workspace, and are a short cycle ride from the bustling city centre and Summertown. Canalside Quarter is being built by award winning residential developer The Hill Group.

The low carbon community
Every aspect of the brand new energy-efficient homes at Canalside Quarter has been carefully considered to help make life that much easier. The new build homes are being built to the latest environmental standards and are up to 60% cheaper to run in comparison to an older property. From the aerated shower heads and taps and energy efficient appliances used to help keep electricity and water consumption low, to solar PV panels, triple glazing, air tightness and many more, The Hill Group's sustainable efforts have helped them achieve both a Code of Sustainable Homes Level 5 rating and a 'A' EPC rating.
The new homes are designed around a central landscaped park complete with play areas, meadow grassland, an activity lawn and a network of pedestrian and cycle paths to facilitate the health and wellbeing of the community.
Extensive planting, green and brown roofs and orchard planting including over 200 new trees will significantly enhance the biodiversity of the overall development.

There are a mix of both private sale and affordable new homes with 35% affordable tenure through OX Place of which 80% will be provided as Social Rental Homes with a further 20% for Shared Ownership.
